| Mildred and
William took in their niece Violet
Florence FULLMAN after the death of Violet's
mother - Harriett Elizabeth
HARRINGTON. Sadly, they couldn't take in their other niece or their
nephews, so the family was split up. Many years later, Violet
was being driven through Snodland by her daughter and she said,
"Oh, I think we just passed my brother - I haven't seen him for
thirty years", but she didn't want to go back to speak to him. |
|
| Violet would have been very handy to help look after Mildred's son: Arthur William E MUDGE b c1909 in Milton, Kent (1911 cen) (M/1909, Milton, 2a, 995) (Free BMD) |
|
| Another son Norman V MUDGE b c1912 (J/1912, Milton, 2a, 1926) (Free BMD) sadly died aged just 2 (M/1915, Milton, 2a, 1783) (Free BMD) (BK) |
|
| Mildred had a daughter Cora LUCKHURST from her second marriage. Cora was active in the Black Sash Human Rights movement in South Africa in the 1950s. Cora married Tom HENDERSON-RUSSELL and had a daughter Yvonne b c1945 in Scotland (Aberdeen?) and another daughter Diane b c1948 in South Africa. Diane followed her mother into the Black Sash movement and was arrested for something political at one point. (BK) |
