| After
her mother's death, Molly was brought up by Mildred
HERRINGTON, known as "Granny
Luckhurst" (husband George) who lived in Catford. (MGK)
(Makes you wonder
what happened to May and the boys...) Many years later, Violet
was being driven through Snodland by her daughter and she said,
"Oh, I think we just passed my brother - I haven't seen him for
thirty years", but she didn't want to go back to speak to him. |
| Molly was knocked
down on a zebra crossing on 31 Jul 1953 by a car driven by Philip BECK
of Dorrit Way, Rochester. He was fined £2 for "failing to give
precedence to a foot passenger on an uncontrolled crossing". The
case was heard at Sittingbourne Magistrates' Court on 16 Sep 1953. |
