he married Hilda, William Martin HOWELL was a photographer in
Hull. He later owned a cafe and a
chemists shop in Robin Hoods Bay,
Yorkshire. although he dropped the William part of his name and
was known as W Martin HOWELL. (JI) |

William
served in the Royal Army Medical Corp during WW1, prior to that he
trained as a druggist (JI). See his service record here: |

his interest in photography and was producing his own postcards for sale
in his shops. He also took the photograph of his father-in-law William
Henry NELSON shown on this site. |
