We originally thought that Charles was named Charles Borromeo, after his father, but entries in the Connor family bible say that his name was Charles Joseph Eugene.
One of Charles' pupils was the entertainer Max BYGRAVES
Charles had at least 4 children by his first wife, Annie, who died of Leukaemia.
His second wife, Mary, was his deputy head.
